European Air Defence Systems, Newport

Case Study

This was a prestigious project, to manufacture bespoke countering for a new building on the European Air Defence Systems campus in Newport.

The original brief specified high-end, expensive counters from one of our competitors. However, the client chose to commission DHR because we were able to work in partnership with the catering consultant and design team to match our competitors specification and offer a substantial cost saving.

The finished product vindicates their decision to change supplier. When completed, the counter proved to be a stylish feature in the new building. Once installed the counter incorporated contrasting LED lighting to the kick-plinth and tray-slide, curved food displays following the contour of the countertop, reconstituted stone and glass work surfaces, curved toughened glass sneeze screens with mirror polished support arms and light boxes.

Operations Manager, Cathy Kerr, said: “We are extremely happy with the work carried out by DHR.” This is evident by the fact that we are now authorised to take prospective customers around the site to show them the quality of our workmanship.
