In 2008 Formby Hall Golf Club and Spa Hotel underwent a £10 million luxury refurbishment programme.
The new vision for the hotel required fixtures and fittings of the highest quality. DHR were commissioned to meet that brief and manufacture all aspects of their shop fitting and bars with the quality of product appropriate for its four star rating.
DHR manufactured the bar counters and food servery at Formby Hall. The bar counters were built utilising our standard Barserve fabrication and then complemented with a shop-fitted exterior. For the food servery we used our Fusion drop-in displays with bespoke counter frame work. Black granite, Corian, wood veneered fascia panels and feature lighting were incorporated into our equipment.
As with all projects, we worked closely with the client to produce units that met their brief, exceeded their expectations and enhanced the interior designer’s vision.
The refurbishment works were completed overnight to cause as little disruption as possible to service. However, we also had to ensure that noise levels were kept to a minimum throughout the process so we didn’t disturb the hotel guests after a hard day on the golf course!
DHR were initially commissioned to manufacture the food servery and bar counters at Formby Hall. Our client was so impressed with the quality and performance of our equipment that we were also asked to supply the reception and concierge desks, shopfitting to the bar area including wall cladding and bedroom furniture for over 30 guest accommodations.
